GENERALDo I have to make the website myself?
Nope, that's exactly the point of getting your website from OtherPeoplesPixels. How long will it take to get my website?
When you sign up for a free trial, your website goes up as soon as you activate it.
When you decide to buy your OPP site, your free site will transfer quickly to your new domain name.
How do I get my artwork onto my website?
Your OPP website comes with a behind-the-scenes Control Panel that allows you to easily add images of your artwork. What designs can I choose from?OPP offers lots of different designs with different looks for different people. Plus we are adding new designs all the time. The design of your OPP website is called a skin. You can easily change your site's skin at any time from your Control Panel. The best way to see what skins we offer, is to try them out on your own site after you've signed up for a free trial.

Are the images of my artwork protected from theft?
Yep. On your OPP site, clicking to download images is disabled. We're like Fort Knox for your photos, baby.
What can I put on my website?
Images of your artwork, obviously. But you can also add details about each piece, your artist's statement and links to other websites. Plus, people who go to your website can view your contact information, leave you a message, download your CV and read your news/events page. The control panel lets you add or remove things with ease. Put as much or as little on your website as you like.
Can I put my Artist Statement and my CV on my website?
Your Artist Statement, or any text you'd like can be displayed right on your home page. You can also upload a PDF of your CV/Resume so that visitors can download a printable copy.
What about video or audio?
If you sign up for our Multimedia plan you will be able to add both video and sound pieces to your website.
Does OPP give me a way to see how many people visit my site?
In your Control Panel you will be able to check not only how many people have visited your site, but also what country they are viewing your site from.
How can people contact me through my website?
You'll have a "Contact" page on your website where you can list any information that you'd like, from email addresses to fax numbers. On that page there is also a section called "Leave a Message,"
where guests visiting your page can leave their own contact info and send you a note. The message will be sent to your OPP email. This is great way to get feedback from folks who visit your site.
Can I sell my artwork though my OPP site?Your OPP website gives you the option to sell your artwork online. You will be able to enter a price and then choose whether or not to make the work available to buy through PayPal.
When a visitor buys one of your pieces you will be notified by Paypal of the item sold,
and you'll then be responsible for shipping the item to complete the transaction. Cha-ching!
Will I be rewarded if I recommend OPP to my friends?
If you recommend OPP to anyone who signs up for at least 3 months, we'll give you a free month on us! Make sure to tell your buddy to type you in as their referral.
We have some customers who have never had to pay for their site again, just by talking us up!
DOMAIN NAME / EMAILCan I have a personal domain name/web address?
The Standard and Multimedia plans come with a personal domain name like www.yourname.com. What can I choose as my domain name?Pretty much whatever you'd like, as long as its not owned by someone else. Tell us what you want and we'll get it for you. You could have tinfoilhats.org or mambo-de-frutas-y-verduras.net. But you can't have sixpackofkittens.com because we already own it. You can easily search to see what domain names are available at NameCheap.com. You can choose a .com, .org, .net, .biz, .info or .us ending for your domain. If you want a domain with a different ending, you can still use it -- but you'll need to buy it yourself.
If you have a special request, such as having two domain names point to the same website, please email us at support@otherpeoplespixels.com and we'll work it out.
What if I already own a domain name?No problem. We can help you set your domain name to go to your new OPP website. We'll send you an email with the easy steps you'll need to take to get things going. It can be up to 2 days before an existing domain name will to point to your new site -- though it usually takes only an hour or two.
Please note that if you choose to sign up for OPP with an existing domain, that the domain does not transfer to us. It will remain your property and your responsibility.
Don't cancel the domain or let it expire, as you will be responsible for maintaining/renewing it. This will be the same simple process you used before your OPP site, so no worries!
Do I get an email account with my OPP site?
All of our paid plans come with an email address like whateveryouwant@yourdomainname.com, which you can access online from any computer.
How do I find/get into my OPP webmail?If you own an OPP site, your webmail is located at http://otherpeoplespixels.com/webmail
To check your webmail, enter your email address and your password. Your email address is your new OPP email address, and your password is the same one that you use to log into your OPP Control Panel.
Can I check my email through Thunderbird, Mac Mail or my wireless device?You bet, get all the details from our help section.
FREE TRIAL / PRICESI signed up for a free trial. How come I never got an email from you?
First off, did you enter your real email address in the free trial form? If you still can't find an email from us with your free trial information, send an email How do I use my free trial?Check the welcome email that we sent you, it has all the information for accessing your free trial website. This includes your username, password and the URL of your Control Panel.
If you have lost or deleted your welcome email, use this form to have your information sent to you again.
How much does it cost?
We have three different plans; you can learn all about them on our pricing page. They're all cheaper than missing an opportunity because you don't have a website. Hint, hint.
How do I pay for my website?
We accept credit cards, PayPal and personal checks. If you pay by check, you'll have to wait for it to clear before you get your website. Sorry, thems the breaks.
Can I pay monthly?
Yes. Yes you may, but only through PayPal.
If I choose a monthly plan, do I need to remember to pay every month?
When you sign up through PayPal you are signing up for a subscription. PayPal will automatically bill your account each month, so that you can never forget -
no worrying about having your site turned off or bothering with the hassle of filling out forms each month. You can, of course, still cancel your subscription any time you'd like,
though that would make us sad.
I love my free trial, how do I pay for a full website?
Simple, just click here and follow the instructions.
We'll preserve all of the work you've put into your free trial website and have you set up before you know it!
My free trial expired. How do I pay for my OPP site?
Click here and follow the instructions. Just type in the name of your expired trial.
We preserved all of the work you put into your trial website, so you can get going ASAP. If you can't remember the name of your trial or have any other problems, email us at support@otherpeoplespixels.com.
I need more time to play with my free trial. Can I have an extension?
Say pretty please with rainbow unicorn sugar on top. Ok, you can have an extension. Email us at support@otherpeoplespixels.com.
What happens to the work on my free trial when I activate my OPP site?
Everything that you added to your free trial website will carry over, exactly as is, to your paid website.
Will I be billed after my free trial ends?
We only ask for your payment information after you've decided to keep your website. The free trial is just that, free.
I don't need a free trial, can I get a paid website now?
Just sign up for a free trial anyway, but follow the payment instructions in your welcome email right away.
Do you put ads on my website?
No way. We hate that crap as much as you do.
TROUBLESHOOTINGWhen I click on the front page of an OPP site, nothing happens. What's up?Your browser has pop-up blockers enabled. Turn off pop-up blocking for OPP websites.
We like the browser Firefox, which a has really easy way to turn pop-up blocking on and off. Why does the site appear too big for my computer screen or cropped on one side?This could be due to one of two things, either the browser window is sized too small on your computer, or you are running your computer at a very low screen resolution. If this is an issue with the browser, simply click and drag to make the window larger and view more of the site. More likely you are running your computer at the low screen resolution of 800 x 600. Our sites are designed to run on at least 1024 x 786, as are most websites for a variety of reasons. To up your screen resolution on a PC, right click the desktop and select "Properties." Then click the "Settings" tab and move the slider to at least 1024 x 786. If you're on a Mac, go here for detailed directions.
It is unusual for newer computers to be running at such a low-res, so this is unlikely to be a big problem for others viewing your site.
